Kaye didn’t want to wake up to Oscar watching over her so she stayed awake with her eye lids shut. She could hardly tell the time with her eyes shut but as her phone was ringing on her dresser, she finally decided to greet the morning, answering the phone.
“Hello?” Kaye answered.
“Hey, it’s Dawn, I was wondering if you would want to go to the mall with me today, I was going to go with some other friends but they couldn’t make it, invite anyone if you want,” Kaye heard over the phone.
“Sure I’ll come, and I’ll ask Rose if she’ll want to tag along,” Kaye replied.
“Kay, see you later then, Bye!” Dawn said hanging up the phone.
When Kaye got off the phone she was amazed to not see Oscar. She called up her best friend Rose who accepted the invitation since she had nothing better to do.
The three girls wandered around the mall for a couple of hours before calling it quits. Not one of the girls had any new things to bring home. Whenever any of them actually brought cash to the mall, it never got spent, even on things they previously wished to get. They all found this little fact funny.
Kaye got home after supper time and went down to her bedroom right away to try to get some sleep. She hoped not to see Oscar, especially because it was still light outside but then again the sun was setting so who knew.
Kaye thought she heard something and turned towards her chair to see Oscar.
“Welcome home,” Oscar said, somewhat kind compared to his normal tone.
“Why must you always come inside my house?” Kaye whined.
“Because I want to.”
Kaye sighed in response and jumped onto her bed. Oscar turned towards her.
“You’re following me tonight whether you like it or not,” Oscar said calmly with a serious tone.
“Why must I?” Kaye whined.
“You’re a vampire now, you have to get out some and be able to hunt and fight,” Oscar growled.
“Okay, okay… sorry,” Kaye muttered.
“As the sun set is nearly night, we’ll leave,” Oscar said, getting off the chair to sit by Kaye on her bed. Kaye just kept her eyes off of Oscar, not wanting to make eye contact with her master.
“We’re going now,” Oscar said in a commanding voice. He opened Kaye’s window at the side of her bed and pulled out the screen. He climbed up the window well and gave a hand to help out Kaye.
“I think you might want to meet some of your friends,” Oscar said as he led Kaye out onto the streets of her nieghboorhood. Oscar walked towards the edge of the nighboorhood and Kaye knew where he was taking her. He was taking her to the open fields and park-like area.
Kaye say two familiar figures in the distance in the field, one a female who had what looked to be a bow and was doing target practice with the occasional tree and the other was male and seemed to have a sword strapped to his back, and his normal black baseball cap.
“David! Rose!” Kaye shouted as she ran up to her friends.
“What are you doing up so late?” Rose asked as she greated her friend with a hug.
“W-Wait… better yet why is Oscar here?” Rose hissed, taking out an arrow and aiming her bow at the vampire.
“Don’t shoot him,” David said, pushing down Rose’s bow to lower it.
“Why not? If we have the chance to-” Rose was interrupted.
“Jack wants to slay him himself,” David said, cutting off Rose.
“But we have the chance,” Rose said, a little enraged, “Why waste it?”
“Because Jack is dealing with other matters at the moment,” David replied.
“Fine, fine,” Rose muttered as the vampire neared the group of teenagers.
“Why do you guys want to kill Oscar?” Kaye asked with a confused expression.
“Because he is our enemy. As night hunters, Me, David and Jack hunt vampires and werewolves to help make this world safer,” Rose replied to her friend.
“Why hurt other living beings?” Kaye questioned.
“Oscar’s not living, he’s an undead vampire, able to turn humans… like you Kaye,” David said.
“I’m somewhat confused now, so Kaye’s a vampire now?!” Rose asked in confusion.
David only nodded and Kaye looked down at the ground as if she was in trouble.
“Great… Jack’s own sister is already starting to turn into a wolf and now Kaye’s a vampire, next we’ll both be vampires,” Rose said.
“Speaking of the wolf…” David whispered as he heard howls near by.
Oscar stepped in front of Kaye as if to protect her and David glared at the vampire. A couple of werewolves came up to the group. The gray and red werewolf slowed down and stood by David, while the nearly black werewolf didn’t slow down quick enough and plowed Kaye into the ground.

Author's Comments

Kaye finally meets up with a couple of her friends at night time, and Oscar doesn't seem to be teasing Kaye as much as he was.

The next few parts might be a little slower since i'm mainly working with story, and not mainly introducing characters.
